I'm in Brazil!!!

I have arrived to Sao Paulo, Brazil, safely! Sao Paulo is a big city and it took about an hour by taxi to get my friend's apartment from the airport. Not so many people speak English even at the airport but, as my freind suggested, I said to the taxi driver, "Bom Dia!!" (good morning) and show the note with my friend's address to the taxi driver. He was very nice, but a very rough driver...So, I was praying in my head all the way to my friend's "Please don't get accident!!!".
It was a bit scary but I did arrive to my freind's apartment in one piece! "Obrigada!!" (thank you) Actually, I didn't know if she lives in a house or apartment and at the gate of her apartment, I realized that I didn't know her room number so, I was again, "Bom Dia, Julie, amigo, Julie...(that's my friend's name) and guys at the gate were, "Oh, Julie.. #$%^&*(^%$#$%^&*%$...?" and gave me big smiles! One boy took my suitcase, put it in an elevator and push the button, 15, then gave me a gesture to get in. So I did and when the door open at 15th floor, there were 4 doors....hum....once again, I called her name and one door opened!!!!! The words I used to get her apartment from the airport were, Bom dia, Obrigada, and Julie!!! I made it!!!

Since I arrived to Sao Paulo, the weather hasn't been so great. Julie told me it's very unusual for this time of the year. I might be a rain girl??? She is working at the museum of morden art in sao Paulo so mostly I spend day times alone. It's very difficult to get a food if you don't speak the language. The other day, I thought I ordered a sandwitch but it became a pizza-like food when it came to my table...but I guess it's part of fun that we can get when we travel different country!

Well, since I'm using my friend's computer, I can't put pictures this time, but maybe next time, I will show you some pictures of Sao Paulo!!

On the 21st, the day after tomorrow, I will fly to Recife and stay there with my best friend Masami for a little less than 3 months!
